Yakuno-ki-to-urushi-no-yakata (Yakuno Woodware and Lacquerware)
The Yakuno area of Fukuchiyama City produces "Tamba Urushi", a high-quality lacquer product of Kyoto Prefecture. We opened our shop to convey the charm of Yakuno's traditional culture and lacquer. We sell and display of a wide variety of works and products, including lacquered wooden soup bowls, chopsticks, and other everyday items. We also introduce the process of extracting lacquer from trees. We also have a workshop where you can experience lacquer painting (reservations required).

Nishiiru
Our Portuguese chef, who has trained in various parts of Japan, uses ingredients from the Kyoto and Tango areas to serve an omakase course meal based on Japanese cuisine, incorporating the various cooking methods he has cultivated over the years and his own identity.
Our sushi is made with koshihikari rice grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers by Iio-jozo (Miyazu City), which is famous for its Fuji vinegar, and Fuji vinegar made from the same carefully selected rice. Seafood raised in the nutrient-rich seas nearby completes our sushi. Please enjoy.

Musu Goka Sauna
Musu Goka Sauna is an outdoor sauna facility refurbished from a traditional thatched roof house that is over 100 years old. This comfortable sauna heated by a wood stove is in the Goka district of Kyotango, at the northernmost tip of Kyoto, among the rural landscapes of the area. Our goal is to create a "village sauna like a public bathhouse." In winter, dive into the snow! Experience the Finnish atmosphere in Kansai and splash around in the stream in front of the facility. Please come to relax and warm yourself up. Nearby, you can enjoy nature in an authentic Japanese-style cottage (without meals) complete with an irori hearth.

Tango Railway
The Kyoto Tango Railway, which operates in the Kyoto by the Sea area, is loved by the locals as a form of public transportation and is also popular as a sightseeing train. We highly recommend enjoying the train journey from Kyoto, Osaka, or Kobe with its ever-changing scenery from the train window, from the majestic ocean in Kyoto by the Sea to the gentle mountain ranges and tranquil rural landscapes! The Yura River Railway Bridge, which runs over the sea, is a popular spot. Indulge in a unique dining experience in the Kuromatsu dining car, where you can savor an abundance of local ingredients in every dish. Get great value sightseeing train tickets such as one-day passes and Amanohashidate/Ine free tickets on sale now.
