The Season for Autumn Leaves has Arrived♪ Where is your favorite?
Hello everyone. It has finally gotten cold in Kyoto and that means the leaves have started to turn. Our website “Kyoto Tourism Guide” hosts the “Autumn Leaves News” every year that has the latest up to date information on the status of the autumn leaves across the prefecture.
The information is updated twice a week until early December, so be sure to check it out!

Kyoto by the Sea Area, Nariai-ji Temple, Miyazu

Woodland Kyoto, Hozukyo, Kameoka City
The Hozugawa River is rich in nature and that includes Autumn leaves. You can experience the autumn leaves spreading in all directions while riding the Sagano Torokko Train or taking a Hozugawa River Cruise, which covers over 16 km in about 2 hours!
Kyoto Otokuni Bamboo Grove, Yanagidani Kannon Yokoku-ji Temple, Nagaokakyo City
Yokoku-ji temple is known for creating the first flower water fountain and is always filled with the refreshing air of the mountains. During “Momiji Week,” which runs until December 1st (Sun), you can not only enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves, but also special exhibitions and limited goshuin stamps♪

Kyoto Tea Country, Zenhoji Temple, Yawata
World famous Kinkakuji Temple was built by Ashikaga Yoshimitsu. Zenhoji Temple is the family temple of his mother. Also known as the “Maple Temple,” the temple has approximately 100 maple trees donated to the temple, creating an overwhelmingly beautiful display!
