1Sagano Romantic Train

The Sagano Romantic Train is a sightseeing train that uses the old Sanin train line. From Torokko Saga Station to Torokko Kameoka Station, the train covers 7.3 kilometers in about 25 minutes, with mountain cherry blossoms and fresh green in the springtime, the voices of cicadas and the sound of the rain and river in the summer, brilliant autumn leaves in the fall, and snowy scenery in the winter—perfect for taking in the best of the seasonal scenery along the Hozukyo Gorge.

The Hozukyo Gorge, which stretches from the Hozu Bridge area in Kameoka City to Arashiyama's Togetsu-kyo Bridge, is known as one of the most beautiful such gorges in Kyoto. The boat ride down the Hozu River, in particular, is full of thrills, and is one of the main sightseeing attractions of the gorge. Riding the Sagano Romantic Train offers a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hozukyo Gorge from the train window!

3Ganko Kameoka Rakurakuso

At Ganko Kameoka Rakurakuso, enjoy exquisite Kyoto cuisine made with seasonal ingredients, along with local specialties such as Kameoka beef. The restaurant features a beautiful 1,600-square-meter Japanese garden, home to around 100 types of trees, including pine, crepe myrtle, cherry blossoms, and maple. Please note, the garden is closed during the winter season (from mid-December to early March).

Please note that the garden is closed during the winter season (from mid-December to early March).
