INE CAFE (Ine Town)
Located in the picturesque fishing village of Ine, famous for its unique “funaya” boathouses, INE CAFE offers a serene seaside experience. These boathouses, dating back to the Edo period, are designed to allow boats to enter directly from the sea, creating a distinctive architectural style. While visiting, remember that these boathouses are private homes, so respect the locals’ privacy as you wander through the village.
Experience:
You can relax in this stylish café facing the sea of Ine, with the water right at your feet. Enjoy panoramic views of Ine Bay from the café’s second floor, where you can see seagulls and small boats crossing the water. Additionally, you can capture Instagram-worthy photos at the café’s dedicated photo spot. The combination of historic architecture and natural beauty makes for a unique and peaceful visit.
Food Served:
Their cheesecake and Mont Blanc are popular menu items. The cheesecake has a moist, firm texture complemented by berry sauce. The Mont Blanc, available only in fall and winter, features rich chestnut cream with hidden marron and homemade blackcurrant jam.
